Welcome to Astro Active

Astro Active is a community based multi-sports facility for use by those with disabilities and members of the community alike has long been a dream of CWCW(E) Ltd. The Sports Field Development Programme was launched in 1998 with the levelling, draining and reseeding of the field adjacent to our premises. This was further expanded in 2003 due to the purchase of an adjacent premises which was to be used as an indoor sports complex.

The aim of the development was to provide a multi-sports facility for use by our service users and others with disabilities in the South East as well as members of the community. This development will be of huge benefit to people with disabilities in the South East Area as well as the local community in Enniscorthy. The Indoor Complex will benefit service users on a daily basis as part of their activation programmes and will also be available to clients of other services. It will be a much needed facility for training for preparation for Special Olympics events for both local and county based athletes.

The Multi-Sports Facility consists of an all Weather Surface suitable for sports such as athletics, soccer, hockey, GAA, fitness training, informal five-a-side soccer, youth group activities and under age sport development. Indoor Sports area special sports floor to accommodate basketball, indoor soccer, badminton and tennis, fully equipped shower/changing rooms, and ample car parking facilities.

As well as our own services for adults and children on offer the Astro Active Centre also makes our facilities available for hire to groups wishing to participate in a range of sports.
