Sports Grant Approved

The Astro Active's recent application for funding under the Physical Acticity Promotion Scheme 2011 has been approved for the purchase of a Life Fitness Recline Bike

This scheme is run by Sports Active Wexford (Local Sports Partnership), in conjunction with the Department of Community and Enterprise, Wexford County Council, The Local Sports Partnership Board and the County Development Board.

The fund focuses on developing quality training/education resources in Wexford and encouraging all coaches/volunteers to undertake appropriate education and training.

With the approval of this grant it will aid Astro Active in improving the level of sport and leisure training available to our staff, to promote and encourage integration and interaction between able and less able bodied sport athletes.

Sports include: Soccer, Basketball, Table Tennis, Golf, Athletics, Bocce, Badminton.
